Ueno Park (Tokyo) Jogging Course Introduction 2023

October 8

Today we will introduce the Ueno Park jogging course in Ueno, Tokyo. The nearest stations are JR Ueno Station or Keisei Ueno Station. JR Ueno Station has coin lockers installed throughout the station, both inside and outside the station. If you come out of the Shinobazu ticket gate at Ueno Station, it is close to the jogging course and convenient. As soon as you come out of the Shinobazu ticket gate, there was a coin locker on your right.

There was also luggage storage near the ticket gate exit of Keisei Ueno Station. You can also leave luggage that is large enough to not fit in the coin locker.

This is today’s course. Take a lap around the entire pond (about 1300m) and around the boat pond on the left side of the map (about 750m).

Proceed along the path between the boat pond on the right and the lotus pond on the left.

There was a place in the middle of the course where you could see the Tokyo Sky Tree.

Most of the pond is covered with lotus leaves.

I passed in front of Bentendo. There are a lot of people around here, so you need to be careful when jogging.

We’re back to the starting point. Because the weather was good and it was a holiday on this day, there were a few people. If it was a weekday or early in the morning, it might be empty and easy to run. I think this is the best course to run slowly while looking at the scenery.

After jogging, there is a zoo and art museum in the park, so why not take a walk?
